Island of the Gods

The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO. The World Heritage-listed volcanic island includes the country's highest peak, sets of impressive lava tubes and columns, and several crater lakes.
Get in touch with nature at Seongsan Ilchulbong and Hamdeok Beach. Gwaneumsa Temple and Jeju Folk Museum are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Step out of Jeju to go to Seogwipo and see Halla Mountain, which is approximately 44 minutes away. And it doesn't end there: stroll through Gwakji Gwamul Beach, explore the fascinating underground world of Manjanggul Cave, kick back and relax at Gimnyeong Seonsegi Beach, and step off the mainland to explore Udo.

Busan

The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.
Kick off your visit on the 20th (Sun): wander the streets of Busan Gamcheon Culture Village and then enjoy the sand and surf at Songjeong Beach. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 21st (Mon): contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Haedong Yonggungsa, then kick back and relax at Haeundae Beach, and then enjoy the sand and surf at Gwangalli Beach.

Getting from Jeju to Busan by flight takes about 2.5 hours. Other options: do a combination of ferry and car; or do a combination of ferry, taxi, and train. In March, plan for daily highs up to 16°C, and evening lows to 3°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 21st (Mon) so you can drive to Gyeongju.

One of the most popular tourist destinations in the Republic of Korea, Gyeongju combines a rich cultural heritage with mountain and coastal scenery.
Start off your visit on the 22nd (Tue): explore the activities along Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond and then take in the spiritual surroundings of Bulguksa Temple.

Expect a bit cooler weather when traveling from Busan in March: highs in Gyeongju hover around 5°C, while lows dip to 5°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 22nd (Tue) so you can drive to Andong.

Sitting along either side of the Nakdong River, Andong maintains an unrivalled reputation as a center for Korean folk and cultural heritage.
On the 23rd (Wed), contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Bongjeongsa and then contemplate the long history of Andong Hahoe Folk Village.

Traveling by car from Gyeongju to Andong takes 2 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or take a train. Expect somewhat warmer weather when traveling from Gyeongju in March: highs in Andong hover around 17°C, while lows dip to 2°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 23rd (Wed) early enough to go by car to Seoul.

One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
Visiting Bukhansan National Park and Cheonggyecheon Stream will get you outdoors. Shop till you drop at Myeongdong Shopping Street and Namdaemun Market. There's much more to do: get engrossed in the history at Gyeongbokgung Palace, take a stroll through Bukchon Hanok Village, visit Insadong, and contemplate the long history of Changdeokgung Palace.

Drive from Andong to Seoul in 3 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or take a bus. When traveling from Andong in March, plan for little chillier days and about the same nights in Seoul: temperatures range from 13°C by day to 1°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 28th (Mon) to allow time to fly back home.
