The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Teddy Bear Museum Jeju and The Islander. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Hamdeok Beach and Hyeopjae Beach. Change things up with a short trip to Yongmeori Beach in Seogwipo (about 1h 15 min away). The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.
Start off your visit on the 22nd (Sat): tour the pleasant surroundings at Gwangalli Beach, then stroll through Songjeong Beach, and then kick back and relax at Haeundae Beach. On your second day here, hunt for treasures at Jagalchi Market, enjoy the sand and surf at Dadaepo Beach, and then shop like a local with Shinsegae Dept. Store Centum City.

Traveling by flight from Jeju to Busan takes 3 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of ferry and car; or do a combination of ferry and bus. In June in Busan, expect temperatures between 79°F during the day and 66°F at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 23rd (Sun) so you can drive to Gyeongju.

One of the most popular tourist destinations in the Republic of Korea, Gyeongju combines a rich cultural heritage with mountain and coastal scenery.
Kick off your visit on the 24th (Mon): steep yourself in history at Cheomseongdae Observatory, then explore the activities along Anapji Pond, then make a trip to Donggung Palace & Wolji Pond, and finally browse the eclectic array of goods at Jukdo Market. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 25th (Tue): contemplate the long history of Bulguksa Temple, contemplate the long history of Royal Tomb of Queen Seondeok, then see the interesting displays at Gyeongju National Museum, and finally steep yourself in history at Cheonmachong Tomb.

Getting from Busan to Gyeongju by car takes about 1.5 hours. Other options: do a combination of subway and bus; or take a train. When traveling from Busan in June, plan for little chillier days and about the same nights in Gyeongju: temperatures range from 68°F by day to 64°F at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 25th (Tue) to allow time to drive to Andong.

A large coastal city, Gangneung has been historically separated from much of the country because of the long, stretching mountain range that runs parallel to the sea.
Start off your visit on the 27th (Thu): kick back and relax at Anmok Beach, kick back and relax at Gyeongpo Beach, and then contemplate the long history of Gangneung Seongyojang.
