Ishigaki, the most populous island in the chain, features the country's southernmost city and acts as a transport hub for exploring the landmasses that surround.
Kick off your visit on the 6th (Sun): take a leisurely stroll along Nishi Pier, kick back and relax at Kondoi Beach, and then stop by Inafuku Shuhan Honten. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: stroll through Yonehara Beach, take in panoramic vistas at Tamatorizaki Observatory, and then get outside with Cape Hirakubozaki.

Tel Aviv, Israel to Ishigaki is an approximately 20.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of train, bus, and flight. You'll lose 7 hours traveling from Tel Aviv to Ishigaki due to the time zone difference. Expect somewhat warmer evenings in Ishigaki when traveling from Tel Aviv in October, with lows around 28°C. A city jurisdiction formed after the merger of several towns in 2005, Miyakojima spans six linked-up islands.
Start off your visit on the 8th (Tue): stroll through Sunayama Beach, then take in the views from Irabu Bridge, and then kick back and relax at Yonaha Maehama Beach. You can do a combination of flight and train from Miyakojima to Hiroshima in 4.5 hours. Another option is to fly. Expect slightly colder temperatures when traveling from Miyakojima in October; daily highs in Hiroshima reach 26°C and lows reach 19°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 11th (Fri) so you can go by car to Matsue.
