Oban is a resort town within the Argyll and Bute council area of Scotland. Get out of town with these interesting Oban side-trips: Seafari Adventures (in Ellenabeich), St. Conan’s Kirk (in Loch Awe) and Inveraray (Inveraray Jail & Purdies of Argyll Ltd). Fort William is the second largest settlement in the Highlands of Scotland with around 10,000 inhabitants – and the largest town: only the city of Inverness is larger.Fort William is a major tourist centre, with Glen Coe just to the south, Aonach Mòr to the east and Glenfinnan to the west, on the Road to the Isles. Kick off your visit on the 7th (Mon): examine the collection at West Highland Museum, then look for all kinds of wild species at Highland Titles Nature Reserve, then appreciate the views at Glen Coe, and finally pause for some photo ops at The Glencoe Massacre Monument. On your second day here, take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Ben Nevis, take in the dramatic scenery at Steall Waterfall, then don't miss a visit to Neptune's Staircase, then make a trip to Glenfinnan Viaduct, and finally explore the activities along Loch Shiel.
