The hilly port city of Nagasaki has become known internationally as one of the two Japanese cities to be destroyed by an atomic bomb towards the close of World War II.
Kick off your visit on the 11th (Sat): take in the spiritual surroundings of Sōfuku-ji Temple, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Catholic Church Hongouchi, get a sense of history and politics at Nagasaki Prefectural Government Observation Deck, see the interesting displays at Nagasaki Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Bomb Victims, then get engrossed in the history at Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum, and finally stroll around Nagasaki Peace Park. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: snap pictures at Megane Bridge, examine the collection at Dejima, tour the pleasant surroundings at Glover Garden, take in the spiritual surroundings of Kannondo, then take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Mt. Inasa, and finally take in panoramic vistas at Inasayama Observation Deck.

Singapore, Singapore to Nagasaki is an approximately 11.5-hour combination of flight and train. You can also fly. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 1 hour traveling from Singapore to Nagasaki. The castle around which the city of Himeji has developed represents one of the best preserved in the country, and has been designated as a national treasure and a World Heritage Site.
Start off your visit on the 16th (Thu): take in nature's colorful creations at Koko-en, go for a walk through Himeji Castle, then steep yourself in history at Nishi no Maru, then take in the awesome beauty at Mt. Takamikura, and finally steep yourself in history at Yoneda Taishiji Temple. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: stroll around Kunimi no Mori Park, then don't miss a visit to Shoshazan Engyoji, and then hike along Mt Shosha hiking.

The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.
Venture out of the city with trips to Osaka (Osaka Castle & Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan) and Todaiji Temple Cultural Center (in Nara). You can take a train from Himeji to Kyoto in an hour. Other options are to drive; or take a bus. In April, daily temperatures in Kyoto can reach 22°C, while at night they dip to 11°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 20th (Mon) early enough to take a train to Kanazawa.
