Located on the coast in the middle of the island, Onna-son has become known for its beaches and seaside economy.
Start off your visit on the 5th (Tue): discover the deep blue sea with a scuba or snorkeling tour, then kick back and relax at Diamond Beach, and then don't miss a visit to Nakijin Castle Ruins. On your second day here, step into the grandiose world of Katsuren Castle Ruins, buy something for everyone on your list at AEONMALL OKINAWA RYCOM, and then stop by Onna Station Nakayukui Market.

Sydney, Australia to Onna-son is an approximately 13.5-hour flight. The time zone changes from Australian Eastern Standard Time (New South Wales) (AEST) to Japan Standard Time (JST), which is usually a -1 hour difference. A popular destination for Japanese tourists, Kumage-gun Yakushima-cho is a true paradise for nature lovers, with over 1,900 species and subspecies of plants.
Start off your visit on the 7th (Thu): take in the awesome beauty at Tachudake and then take in breathtaking views at Shiratani Unsuikyo Valley. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 8th (Fri): identify plant and animal life at Yakusugi Land.

You can do a combination of flight and taxi from Onna-son to Yakushima-cho in 6.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of ferry and taxi; or do a combination of bus, ferry, and taxi. While traveling from Onna-son, expect little chillier days and about the same nights in Yakushima-cho, ranging from highs of 24°C to lows of 18°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 8th (Fri) so you can travel to Matsue.

Getting from Yakushima-cho to Matsue by combination of taxi and flight takes about 7.5 hours. Other options: do a combination of taxi, flight, and train; or do a combination of taxi, ferry, and train. Traveling from Yakushima-cho in November, things will get a bit cooler in Matsue: highs are around 18°C and lows about 9°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 10th (Sun) so you can go by car to Hatsukaichi.

Miyakojima

A city jurisdiction formed after the merger of several towns in 2005, Miyakojima spans six linked-up islands.
