The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO.
Get outdoors at Daepo Haean Jusangjeolli Cliff and Seopjikoji. Step off the beaten path and head to Hyeopjae Beach and Jeongbang Waterfall. When in Jeju, make a side trip to see Halla Mountain in Seogwipo, approximately Seogwipo away. There's much more to do: take in nature's colorful creations at Hallim Park, enjoy the sand and surf at Hamdeok Beach, and explore the fascinating underground world of Manjanggul Cave.

Zagreb, Croatia to Jeju is an approximately 20.5-hour flight. Traveling from Zagreb to Jeju, you'll lose 8 hours due to the time zone difference. Finish your sightseeing early on the 2nd (Tue) so you can travel to Busan.

The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.
Kick off your visit on the 3rd (Wed): contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Beomeosa Temple, head outdoors with Haeundae Beach, and then enjoy the sand and surf at Gwangalli Beach. One of the most popular tourist destinations in the Republic of Korea, Gyeongju combines a rich cultural heritage with mountain and coastal scenery.
On the 5th (Fri), explore the activities along Anapji Pond, then appreciate the history behind Seokguram, and then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Bulguksa Temple. Traveling from Busan in April, you will find days in Gyeongju are little chillier (14°C), and nights are somewhat warmer (14°C). Sitting along either side of the Nakdong River, Andong maintains an unrivalled reputation as a center for Korean folk and cultural heritage.
Popular historic sites such as Andong Hahoe Folk Village and Byeongsanseowon Confucian Academy are in your itinerary. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Sinsedong Chilcheung Jeontap (Sinsedong 7 stories Brick Pagoda) and Museom Village. Venture out of the city with trips to Sosuseowon Confucian Academy (in Yeongju) and Gounsa Temple (in Uiseong-gun). A large coastal city, Gangneung has been historically separated from much of the country because of the long, stretching mountain range that runs parallel to the sea.
Kick off your visit on the 10th (Wed): examine the collection at Ojukheon, enjoy the sand and surf at Gangmun Beach, and then head outdoors with Gyeongpo Beach.
