The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO.
Discover out-of-the-way places like Jeongbang Waterfall and Hamdeok Beach. Step out of the city life by going to Hallim Park and Halla Mountain. Explore Jeju's surroundings by going to Seogwipo (Daepo Haean Jusangjeolli Cliff & Seopjikoji). There's still lots to do: kick back and relax at Hyeopjae Beach, explore the fascinating underground world of Manjanggul Cave, and take in nature's colorful creations at Kim Kyung-Sook Sunflower Farm.

Zagreb, Croatia to Jeju is an approximately 20.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of shuttle and flight. You'll lose 8 hours traveling from Zagreb to Jeju due to the time zone difference. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 2nd (Tue) so you can travel to Busan.

The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.
Kick off your visit on the 3rd (Wed): take in the spiritual surroundings of Beomeosa Temple, then enjoy the sand and surf at Haeundae Beach, and then enjoy the sand and surf at Gwangalli Beach. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: stroll the grounds of UN Memorial Cemetery, get great views at Taejongdae, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Haedong Yonggung Temple, then make a trip to Cheongsapo Daritdol Observatory, and finally make a trip to Gwangandaegyo Bridge.

Fly from Jeju to Busan in 3 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of ferry and car; or do a combination of ferry and bus. April in Busan sees daily highs of 22°C and lows of 10°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 4th (Thu) early enough to drive to Gyeongju.

One of the most popular tourist destinations in the Republic of Korea, Gyeongju combines a rich cultural heritage with mountain and coastal scenery.
Kick off your visit on the 5th (Fri): contemplate the waterfront views at Anapji Pond, appreciate the history behind Seokguram, and then steep yourself in history at Bulguksa Temple. On your second day here, contemplate the long history of Yangdong Folk Village, steep yourself in history at Oksan Seowon, see the interesting displays at Gyeongju National Museum, then steep yourself in history at Gyeongju Historic Area, and finally contemplate the long history of Gyeongju Hyanggyo Confucian School.

Drive from Busan to Gyeongju in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of subway and bus; or take a train. Traveling from Busan in April, expect nights in Gyeongju to be somewhat warmer, around 14°C, while days are a bit cooler, around 14°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 6th (Sat) to allow time to drive to Andong.

Andong

Sitting along either side of the Nakdong River, Andong maintains an unrivalled reputation as a center for Korean folk and cultural heritage.
You'll discover tucked-away gems like Andong Hahoe Folk Village and Sosuseowon Confucian School. Do some cultural sightseeing at Andong Gunja Village (Historic Site of Ocheon) and Yeongju Museom Village. Step out of Andong with an excursion to Gounsa Temple in Uiseong-gun--about 58 minutes away. There's lots more to do: contemplate the long history of Dosanseowon Confucian School, see the interesting displays at Yiyuksa Munhakgwan, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Bongjeongsa.

Drive from Gyeongju to Andong in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or take a bus. In April, plan for daily highs up to 14°C, and evening lows to 14°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 9th (Tue) so you can go by car to Gangneung.

A large coastal city, Gangneung has been historically separated from much of the country because of the long, stretching mountain range that runs parallel to the sea.
Start off your visit on the 10th (Wed): see the interesting displays at Ojukheon, kick back and relax at Gangmun Beach, and then enjoy the sand and surf at Gyeongpo Beach. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: kick back and relax at Sacheonjin Beach, tour the pleasant surroundings at Anmok Beach, and then head outdoors with Jeongdong-Simgok Badabuchae-gil Trail.

One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
Gyeongbokgung Palace and Baek In-Je House Museum will appeal to museum buffs. Get a sense of the local culture at Changdeokgung Palace and National Museum of Korea. There's much more to do: stroll through Cheonggyecheon Stream, wander the streets of Insadong, steep yourself in history at Deoksugung, and learn about all things military at The War Memorial of Korea.
