Island of the Gods

The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO. The World Heritage-listed volcanic island includes the country's highest peak, sets of impressive lava tubes and columns, and several crater lakes.
Get outdoors at Daepo Haean Jusangjeolli Cliff and Seopjikoji. Step off the beaten path and head to Hyeopjae Beach and Jeongbang Waterfall. When in Jeju, make a side trip to see Halla Mountain in Seogwipo, approximately Seogwipo away. There's much more to do: take in nature's colorful creations at Hallim Park, enjoy the sand and surf at Hamdeok Beach, and explore the fascinating underground world of Manjanggul Cave.

Busan

The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.
Kick off your visit on the 3rd (Wed): contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Beomeosa Temple, stroll through Haeundae Beach, and then enjoy the sand and surf at Gwangalli Beach. Keep things going the next day: stroll the grounds of UN Memorial Cemetery, get great views at Taejongdae, then get great views at Cheongsapo Daritdol Observatory, and finally take in the views from Gwangandaegyo Bridge.

One of the most popular tourist destinations in the Republic of Korea, Gyeongju combines a rich cultural heritage with mountain and coastal scenery.
On the 5th (Fri), explore the activities along Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond, then appreciate the history behind Seokguram, and then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Bulguksa Temple. Here are some ideas for day two: steep yourself in history at Yangdong Folk Village, steep yourself in history at Oksanseowon Confucian Academy, then examine the collection at Gyeongju National Museum, then contemplate the long history of Gyeongju Historic Area, and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Gyeongju Hyanggyo.

Sitting along either side of the Nakdong River, Andong maintains an unrivalled reputation as a center for Korean folk and cultural heritage.

A large coastal city, Gangneung has been historically separated from much of the country because of the long, stretching mountain range that runs parallel to the sea.
Kick off your visit on the 10th (Wed): examine the collection at Ojukheon, enjoy the sand and surf at Gangmun Beach, and then stroll through Gyeongpo Beach. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 11th (Thu): enjoy the sand and surf at Sacheonjin Beach, then tour the pleasant surroundings at Anmok Beach, and then hike along Jeongdong-Simgok Badabuchae-gil Trail.
