The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO.
Explore hidden gems such as Gimnyeong Seonsegi Beach and Woljeongri Beach. Sanbanggulsa Temple and Bangju Church will appeal to history buffs. Explore Jeju's surroundings by going to Seogwipo (Gwangchigi Beach, Songaksan Mountain, & more). The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.
You'll discover tucked-away gems like Jagalchi Market and Bujeon Market. Relax by the water at Songjeong Beach and Dadaepo Beach. When in Busan, make a side trip to see Yeojwacheon Stream in Changwon, approximately 1h 20 min away. There's still lots to do: hunt for treasures at Gijang Market, go for a walk through Igidae Park, see the interesting displays at Busan Modern History Museum, and make a trip to Busan Station Plaza.

A large coastal city, Gangneung has been historically separated from much of the country because of the long, stretching mountain range that runs parallel to the sea.
On the 20th (Mon), take an in-depth tour of Heogyun and Heonanseolheon Memorial Hall. Here are some ideas for day two: admire the landmark architecture of Cheoram Coal Mine History Town, see the interesting displays at Taebaek Coal Museum, and then kick back and relax at Sacheonjin Beach.
