The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Spirited Garden and Nature & Wildlife Tours. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Jeju: Seogwipo (Dynamic Maze Episode 3, Seonim Bridge, &more). Next up on the itinerary: take in nature's colorful creations at Hallim Park, hike along Hallasan, and kick back and relax at Hamdeok Beach.

One of the most popular tourist destinations in the Republic of Korea, Gyeongju combines a rich cultural heritage with mountain and coastal scenery.
On the 13th (Sun), steep yourself in history at Cheomseongdae Observatory, thenexplore the activities along Anapji Pond, thensee the interesting displays at Gyeongju National Museum, and finally steep yourself in history at Gyeongju Hyanggyo Confucian School. Keep things going the next day: contemplate the long history of Gyeongju Historic Area, thencontemplate the long history of Cheonmachong Tomb, thensteep yourself in history at Gyeonju Temples, and finally get to know the fascinating history of Tongiljeon.

You can drive from Busan to Gyeongju in 1.5 hours. Other options are to take a bus; or take a train. When traveling from Busan in September, plan for slightly colder days and about the same nights in Gyeongju: temperatures range from °F by day to °F at night. Start off your visit on the 15th (Tue): see the interesting displays at Teddy Bear Farm, thentrek along Ulsanbawi Rock, and then head outdoors with Biryong Falls.
