Richmond is a town in Tasmania about 25 km north-east of Hobart, in the Coal River region, between the Midland Highway and Tasman Highway. Take a break from Richmond with a short trip to St John the Baptist Chuch in Buckland, about 36 minutes away. There's still lots to do: head off the coast to Maria Island National Park, tour the pleasant surroundings at Zoodoo Zoo, look for gifts at The Sensory Tasmania, and do a tasting at Puddleduck Vineyard.

Sydney to Richmond is an approximately 4-hour combination of flight and taxi. You can also do a combination of bus, car, and ferry; or do a combination of train, car, ferry, and bus.
