You can fly from Duong Dong to Hoi An in 4 hours. Another option is to do a combination of flight and taxi. In September, daily temperatures in Hoi An can reach 38°C, while at night they dip to 29°C. On the 10th (Tue), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can drive to Dong Hoi.
