One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
Museum-lovers will get to explore Gyeongbokgung Palace and Deoksugung. Changdeokgung Palace and Cheonggyecheon Stream will appeal to history buffs. Venture out of the city with trips to Paju (The Third Tunnel & DMZ). And it doesn't end there: wander the streets of Myeongdong Shopping Street, make a trip to Bukchon Hanok Village, get engrossed in the history at The National Folk Museum of Korea, and take some stellar pictures from N Seoul Tower.

One of the most popular tourist destinations in the Republic of Korea, Gyeongju combines a rich cultural heritage with mountain and coastal scenery.
You'll discover tucked-away gems like Gyeongju National Museum and Oksan Seowon. Popular historic sites such as Bulguksa Temple and Yangdong Folk Village are in your itinerary. Step out of Gyeongju with an excursion to Jukdo Market in Pohang--about 58 minutes away. Spend the 11th (Tue) exploring nature at Gyeongju National Park. There's still lots to do: contemplate the waterfront views at Anapji Pond, appreciate the history behind Seokguram, and appreciate the extensive heritage of Tongiljeon.

Do a combination of flight and bus from Seoul to Gyeongju in 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of flight, taxi, and train; or drive. Expect a bit cooler weather when traveling from Seoul in June: highs in Gyeongju hover around 68°F, while lows dip to 64°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 11th (Tue) to allow enough time to drive to Busan.

The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Beomeosa Temple and Haedong Yonggung Temple. Explore hidden gems such as Gwangalli Beach and Gwangandaegyo Bridge. Next up on the itinerary: kick back and relax at Haeundae Beach, take some stellar pictures from Taejongdae, tour the pleasant surroundings at UN Memorial Cemetery, and make a trip to Seokbulsa Temple.

Traveling by car from Gyeongju to Busan takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of bus and subway; or take a train. Traveling from Gyeongju in June, expect nights in Busan to be about the same, around 66°F, while days are a bit warmer, around 79°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 14th (Fri) to allow time to travel to Jeju.
