With the largest international airport on the island, Chitose serves for most visitors as a way in or a way out, rather than a destination in itself.
Do your shopping at Chitose Outlet Mall Rera and Sea Station Plat Seaport Market. Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Royce' Chocolate World and Nibutani Ainu Museum. Explore Chitose's surroundings by going to Obihiro (Tokachi Plaza, Banei Tokachi Obihiro Horse Race Track, &more), Noboribetsu (Oyunuma, Yuzawa Shrine, &more) and Kuriyama Temmangu (in Kuriyama-cho). Next up on the itinerary: relax and rejuvenate at some of the best spas, play a few rounds at The North Country Golf Club, get up close and personal with brilliant marine life at Salmon Hometown Chitose Aquarium, and get behind the scenes at Kirin Beer Hokkaido Chitose Factory.

If you are flying in from Malaysia, the closest major aiports are New Chitose Airport, Asahikawa Airport and Hakodate Airport. In June, daytime highs in Chitose are 22°C, while nighttime lows are 13°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 24th (Wed) to allow enough time to travel back home.
