You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Ulsan Theme Botanic Garden and Trickeye Museum Busan. Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Haedong Yonggung Temple and Yeojwacheon Stream. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Busan: Geoje (Oedo Botania, Geoje Shipbuilding and Maritime Cultural Centre, & more), Gimhae National Museum (in Gimhae) and Ulsan Petroglyph Museum (in Ulsan). There's much more to do: stroll through Haeundae Beach, view the masterpieces at Gallery Mare, explore the world behind art at Busan Museum of Art, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Beomeosa Temple.
