The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.
Explore hidden gems such as Amanohashidate and Eikando Zenrinji Temple. When in Kyoto, make a side trip to see Universal Studios Japan in Osaka, approximately 1h 15 min away. There's lots more to do: contemplate the long history of Kiyomizu-dera Temple, step into the grandiose world of Nijo Castle, and contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine.

Onna-son

Located on the coast in the middle of the island, Onna-son has become known for its beaches and seaside economy.
Step off the beaten path and head to Scuba & Snorkeling and Onna Station Nakayukui Market. Venture out of the city with trips to Nakijin Castle Ruins (in Nakijin-son), Motobu-cho (Okichan Theater, Minnajima Island, & more) and Stand-Up Paddleboarding (in Nago).
