One of the most popular tourist destinations in the Republic of Korea, Gyeongju combines a rich cultural heritage with mountain and coastal scenery.
Start off your visit on the 18th (Wed): contemplate the waterfront views at Anapji Pond. You can drive from Busan to Gyeongju in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or take a bus. When traveling from Busan in December, plan for slightly colder days and about the same nights in Gyeongju: temperatures range from 3°C by day to 0°C at night. A northern county in the Taebeak Mountain region of South Korea, Pyeongchang offers a plethora of year-round alpine resorts.
Your day-by-day itinerary now includes Herb Nara Nongwon as well as Phoenix Snow Park. Kids will enjoy Daegwallyeong Agi Mokjang and 산1-107 Hoenggye-ri, Daegwalnyeong-myeon. One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
Visit Gyeongbokgung Palace and Cheonggyecheon Stream for their historical value. Kids will appreciate attractions like Lotte World and National Museum of Korea. When in Seoul, make a side trip to see Korean Folk Village in Yongin, approximately 1h 15 min away. There's much more to do: wander the streets of Insadong, get your game on at INT Studio, take some stellar pictures from N Seoul Tower, and shop like a local with Myeongdong Shopping Street.

The capital of the country's northernmost province, the city of Chuncheon acts a gateway to the wilder sights of the rural region.
Start off your visit on the 28th (Sat): get in on the family fun at Petite France and then step off the mainland to explore Nami Island.
