One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
Insadong and Bukchon Hanok Village are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Head to Myeongdong Shopping Street and Namdaemun Marketfor some retail therapy. The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO.
Relax by the water at Hamdeok Beach and Geumneung Eutteumwon Beach. Gwaneumsa Temple and Seonunjeongsa Temple will appeal to history buffs. Venture out of the city with trips to Seogwipo (Seongsan Ilchulbong & O'Sulloc Tea Museum). There's lots more to do: kick back and relax at Gimnyeong Seonsegi Beach, try out the rides at Hallim Park, explore the fascinating underground world of Manjanggul Cave, and tour the pleasant surroundings at Hyeopjae Beach.

On the 2nd (Tue), examine the collection at Gongju National Museum, take in the spiritual surroundings of Magoksa Temple, then contemplate the long history of Busosanseong, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of Gapsa temple.
