San Jose, Costa Rica to Busan is an approximately 24-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train; or do a combination of taxi and flight. You'll lose 15 hours traveling from San Jose to Busan due to the time zone difference. In February, Busan is cooler than San Jose - with highs of 10°C and lows of 0°C. Drive from Busan to Gyeongju in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or take a bus. Traveling from Busan in February, expect nights in Gyeongju to be somewhat warmer, around 4°C, while days are little chillier, around 5°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 25th (Mon) early enough to catcht the bus to Andong.

Sitting along either side of the Nakdong River, Andong maintains an unrivalled reputation as a center for Korean folk and cultural heritage.
Your inner history buff will appreciate Andong Hahoe Folk Village and Gounsa Temple. Do some cultural sightseeing at Bongjeongsa and Hahoe Mask Museum. Change things up with a short trip to Gunwi Buddha Triad Grotto (2nd Seokguram) in Gunwi-gun (about 1h 20 min away). There's much more to do: steep yourself in history at Dosanseowon Confucian School, take a peaceful walk through Ahndong Hoban Jayeon Hyooyanglim, examine the collection at Andong Folk Museum, and take in the views from Wollyeongo Bridge.
