The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO.
Museum-lovers will get to explore Jeju National Museum and The Islander. Get a sense of the local culture at Black Pork Street and Jeju Folk Museum. Step out of Jeju to go to Seogwipo and see Seongsan Ilchulbong, which is approximately 1h 20 min away. There's much more to do: kick back and relax at Hamdeok Beach, head outdoors with Gimnyeong Seonsegi Beach, see the interesting displays at Haenyeo Museum, and shop like a local with Arario Museum Tapdong Cinema.

One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
Head to Myeongdong Shopping Street and Namdaemun Marketfor plenty of shopping. Do some cultural sightseeing at Gyeongbokgung Palace and Insadong. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Seoul: Hwaseong Fortress (in Suwon) and DMZ Haemaru Village (in Paju). There's lots more to do: wander the streets of Bukchon Hanok Village, get engrossed in the history at National Museum of Korea, admire the natural beauty at Namsan Park, and don't miss a visit to N Seoul Tower.

You can fly from Jeju to Seoul in 3 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of ferry and train; or do a combination of ferry and car. In July in Seoul, expect temperatures between 85°F during the day and 74°F at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 15th (Fri) early enough to travel to Icheon.

A large coastal city, Gangneung has been historically separated from much of the country because of the long, stretching mountain range that runs parallel to the sea.
We've included these beaches for you: Chuam Beach and Cheonjin Beach. Get out of town with these interesting Gangneung side-trips: Seoraksan National Park (in Sokcho), Jeongseon 5-day Market (in Jeongseon-gun) and Bongpo Beach (in Goseong-gun). One of the most popular tourist destinations in the Republic of Korea, Gyeongju combines a rich cultural heritage with mountain and coastal scenery.
You'll get in some beach time at Yeongildae Beach and Jeongja Beach. Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Bulguksa Temple and Cheonmachong Tomb. Take a break from Gyeongju with a short trip to Seomun Market in Daegu, about 1h 05 min away. There's still lots to do: appreciate the history behind Seokguram, contemplate the waterfront views at Anapji Pond, examine the collection at Gyeongju National Museum, and contemplate the long history of Gyeongju Hyanggyo Confucian School.

Traveling by car from Gangneung to Gyeongju takes 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. In July, daytime highs in Gyeongju are 87°F, while nighttime lows are 73°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 25th (Mon) to allow enough time to drive to Busan.

The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Gamcheon Culture Village and Busan Museum. Do your shopping at Jagalchi Market and Shinsegae Gallery. There's lots more to do: kick back and relax at Haeundae Beach, head outdoors with Gwangalli Beach, get a taste of the local shopping with Shinsegae Dept. Store Centum City, and contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Haedong Yonggung Temple.

You can drive from Gyeongju to Busan in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or take a bus. In July, daily temperatures in Busan can reach 84°F, while at night they dip to 73°F. On the 30th (Sat), you're off to home.
