Famous for its natural port and Byzantine castle, Kyrenia is not only a lovely old Venetian town, but also the most visited tourist destination in Northern Cyprus.
Step out of the city life by going to Alagadi Turtle Beach and Korineum Golf and Country Club. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Buffavento Castle and Ancient Shipwreck Museum. The adventure continues: tour the pleasant surroundings at Kyrenia Animal Rescue, go for a walk through Lapta Coastal Walkway, get interesting insight from Tours, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Chysopolitissa church.

Istanbul, Turkey to Kyrenia is an approximately 3- hour combination of flight and car. You can also do a combination of car and ferry; or do a combination of train, bus, and ferry. The time zone changes from Turkey Time (TRT) to Eastern European Standard Time (EET), which is usually a -1 hour difference. When traveling from Istanbul in August, plan for a bit warmer days and about the same nights in Kyrenia: temperatures range from 43°C by day to 28°C at night.
