Gwangju is the sixth largest city in South Korea. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Gwangju: Boseong Green Tea Field Daehan Dawon (in Boseong-gun), Hwaeomsa Temple (in Gurye-gun) and Unjusa (in Hwasun-gun). There's much more to do: explore the striking landscape of Mudeungsan National Park, walk around Peace Park, get outside with Soswaewon, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Naesosa Temple.

You can fly from Jeju to Gwangju in 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of flight and bus; or do a combination of ferry and taxi. Expect a daytime high around 29°C in July, and nighttime lows around 29°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 9th (Tue) early enough to go by car to Busan.
