Sitting along either side of the Nakdong River, Andong maintains an unrivalled reputation as a center for Korean folk and cultural heritage.
Andong Hahoe Folk Village and Seonseonghyun Gaeksa are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Discover out-of-the-way places like Dosanseowon Confucian School and Museom Village. When in Andong, make a side trip to see Sosuseowon Confucian School in Yeongju, approximately Yeongju away. There's still lots to do: contemplate the long history of Imcheonggak House, wander the streets of Andong Folk Village, see the interesting displays at Hahoe Mask Museum, and contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Bongjeongsa.

The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.
Get some historical perspective at Beomeosa Temple and UN Memorial Cemetery. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Dadaepo Beach and Gwangalli Beach.
