The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO.
Step off the beaten path and head to Hyeopjae Beach and Jeju 1100 Altitude Wetland. Teddy Bear Museum Jeju and Alive Museum will appeal to museum buffs. Venture out of the city with trips to Seogwipo (Daepo Haean Jusangjeolli Cliff & Yongmeori Beach). There's lots more to do: tour the pleasant surroundings at Hamdeok Beach, enjoy the sand and surf at Woljeongri Beach, take in nature's colorful creations at Jeju Kimnyoung Maze Park, and take in the exciting artwork at The Islander.

Sitting along either side of the Nakdong River, Andong maintains an unrivalled reputation as a center for Korean folk and cultural heritage.
Step off the beaten path and head to Andong Hahoe Folk Village and Yeongju Museom Village. Get a sense of the local culture at Dosanseowon Confucian School and Byeongsanseowon Confucian Academy. When in Andong, make a side trip to see Sosuseowon Confucian School in Yeongju, approximately 1h 05 min away. And it doesn't end there: take in the spiritual surroundings of Bongjeongsa, take a stroll through Andong Folk Village, steep yourself in history at Imcheonggak House, and examine the collection at Hahoe Mask Museum.

Traveling by car from Changnyeong-gun to Andong takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of taxi and train; or take a bus. Traveling from Changnyeong-gun in May, expect nights in Andong to be about the same, around 18°C, while days are cooler, around 18°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 27th (Sun) so you can go by car to Gyeongju.

A large coastal city, Gangneung has been historically separated from much of the country because of the long, stretching mountain range that runs parallel to the sea.
Get a sense of the local culture at Gyeongpodae and Gangneung Seongyojang. Relax by the water at Gyeongpo Beach and Gangmun Beach.
