The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.
Take a break from the city and head to Haeundae Beach and Songjeong Beach. Step out of Busan with an excursion to Oedo Botania in Geoje--about 1h 45 min away. There's still lots to do: enjoy the sand and surf at Gwangalli Beach, snap pictures at Busan Harbor Bridge, take in the spiritual surroundings of Haedong Yonggung Temple, and walk around Yongdusan Park.

Karachi, Pakistan to Busan is an approximately 15.5-hour flight. The time zone difference when traveling from Karachi to Busan is 4 hours. Prepare for little chillier weather when traveling from Karachi in June: high temperatures in Busan hover around 30°C and lows are around 22°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 18th (Tue) so you can drive to Gyeongju.

One of the most popular tourist destinations in the Republic of Korea, Gyeongju combines a rich cultural heritage with mountain and coastal scenery.
Get outdoors at Anapji Pond and Sinbulsan Falls Recreational Forest. Spend the 21st (Fri) exploring nature at Gyeongju National Park. There's still lots to do: steep yourself in history at Bulguksa Temple, take in the spiritual surroundings of Seokguram, look for all kinds of wild species at Gyeongju Bird Park, and pause for some photo ops at Tongiljeon.

Drive from Busan to Gyeongju in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or take a bus. Sitting along either side of the Nakdong River, Andong maintains an unrivalled reputation as a center for Korean folk and cultural heritage.
Get outdoors at Juwangsan National Park and Jusanji Pond. Get out of town with these interesting Andong side-trips: Sosuseowon Confucian School (in Yeongju) and Cheongnyangsa Temple (in Bonghwa-gun). There's still lots to do: appreciate the extensive heritage of Andong Hahoe Folk Village, take in the spiritual surroundings of Bongjeongsa, see the interesting displays at Hahoe Mask Museum, and wander the streets of Andong Gunja Village (Historic Site of Ocheon).
