One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
Escape the urban bustle at Nature & Wildlife Tours and Bukhansan National Park. Do some cultural sightseeing at Gyeongbokgung Palace and Changgyeonggung Palace. Get out of town with these interesting Seoul side-trips: Suwon (Hwaseong Fortress & Suwon Jeil Church). The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO.
Seonunjeongsa Temple and Gwaneumsa Temple will appeal to history buffs. Step off the beaten path and head to Halla Mountain and Gimnyeong Seonsegi Beach. Step out of Jeju to go to Seogwipo and see Seongsan Ilchulbong, which is approximately 1h 15 min away. There's lots more to do: trek along Hallasan, get outside with Sehwa Beach, kick back and relax at Woljeongri Beach, and take in the awesome beauty at Saebyeol Oreum.
