The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.
For shopping fun, head to Jagalchi Market or Shinsegae Dept. Store Centum City. Your cultural itinerary includes sights like Haedong Yonggung Temple and Beomeosa Temple. There's lots more to do: enjoy the sand and surf at Haeundae Beach, get great views at Taejongdae, relax and rejuvenate at some of the top local wellness centers, and take an in-depth tour of Bokcheon Museum.

You can fly from Jeju to Busan in 3 hours. Other options are to do a combination of flight and train; or do a combination of ferry and car. In May, daily temperatures in Busan can reach 28°C, while at night they dip to 16°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 5th (Wed) to allow time to drive to Gyeongju.

One of the most popular tourist destinations in the Republic of Korea, Gyeongju combines a rich cultural heritage with mountain and coastal scenery.
Get a sense of the local culture at Bulguksa Temple and Seokguram. Step out of Gyeongju to go to Pohang and see Jukdo Market, which is approximately 58 minutes away. There's lots more to do: see the interesting displays at Gyeongju National Museum, explore the activities along Anapji Pond, contemplate the long history of Gyeongju Historic Area, and identify plant and animal life at Gyeongju Bird Park.

Drive from Busan to Gyeongju in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or take a bus. Traveling from Busan in June, you will find days in Gyeongju are slightly colder (23°C), and nights are about the same (20°C). Finish your sightseeing early on the 8th (Sat) to allow enough time to take a bus to Andong.
