A sprawling metropolis and center for research, Daejeon stands as the fifth largest city in South Korea.
You'll visit kid-friendly attractions like Gongsanseong and Gakwonsa Temple. Venture out of the city with trips to Beopjusa Temple (in Boeun-gun), Gwanchoksa Temple (in Nonsan) and Cheongju (Cheongju National Museum & Cheongnamdae). The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.
Kids will appreciate attractions like Haeundae Beach and Gwangalli Beach. Step out of Busan with an excursion to Oedo Botania in Geoje--about 1h 45 min away.
