Busan

The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.

While traveling from Busan, expect little chillier days and a bit warmer nights in Gyeongju, ranging from highs of 14°C to lows of 14°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 22nd (Thu) to allow enough time to travel to Daejeon.

Daejeon

A sprawling metropolis and center for research, Daejeon stands as the fifth largest city in South Korea.

Traveling by train from Gyeongju to Daejeon takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. When traveling from Gyeongju in April, plan for a bit warmer days in Daejeon, with highs around 22°C, while nights are a bit cooler with lows around 6°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 27th (Tue) early enough to drive to Gangneung.

Gangneung

A large coastal city, Gangneung has been historically separated from much of the country because of the long, stretching mountain range that runs parallel to the sea.
