The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.
You'll explore and learn at Busan Museum and Gimhae Folk Museum. Get in touch with nature at Haeundae Beach and Gwangalli Beach. Step out of Busan to go to Gimhae and see Gimhae National Museum, which is approximately 50 minutes away. There's still lots to do: take in the spiritual surroundings of Haedong Yonggung Temple, browse the eclectic array of goods at Jagalchi Market, enjoy the sea views from Yeongdo Lighthouse, and walk around Yongdusan Park.

Gongju, also spelt Kongju, is a city in South Chungcheong province, South Korea.HistoryGongju was formerly named Ungjin and was the capital of Baekje from AD 475 to 538.
