Your inner history buff will appreciate Haedong Yonggung Temple and Beomeosa Temple. Visiting Haeundae Beach and Oedo Botania will get you outdoors. Take a break from Busan with a short trip to Hwawangsan Mountain in Changnyeong-gun, about 2 hours away. A northern county in the Taebeak Mountain region of South Korea, Pyeongchang offers a plethora of year-round alpine resorts.
Take a break from the city and head to Phoenix Snow Park and Gosu Cave. Cheongnyangsa Temple and Buseoksa Temple will appeal to history buffs. Venture out of the city with trips to Jeongseon-gun (Jeongseon 5-day Market & Hwaam Cave), Taebaeksan National Park (in Taebaek) and Danyang-gun (Ondal Gwangwangji & Cheondong Cave).
