Makefu is one of the fourteen villages of Niue. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Opaahi Landing and Peniamina's Grave. Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Taoga Niue Museum and Tomb Point. Venture out of the city with trips to Hikulagi Sculpture Park (in Alofi) and Togo Chasm (in Hakupu). Next up on the itinerary: stroll through Tautu Reef, Head underground at Talava Arches, take in the spiritual surroundings of Ekalesia Church, and kick back and relax at Hio Beach.
