Snaking up the side of a rounded, tree-dotted hill, Hobart sits between Tasmania’s sprawling mountains and the vast estuary of the River Derwent.
Your day-by-day itinerary now includes Sullivans Cove Distillery as well as Hastings Caves and Thermal Springs. When in Hobart, make a side trip to see Tasmanian Devil Unzoo in Taranna, approximately Taranna away. Melbourne to Hobart is an approximately 4- hour flight. You can also do a combination of ferry and car; or do a combination of ferry and bus. While traveling from Melbourne, expect slightly colder days and about the same nights in Hobart, ranging from highs of 26°C to lows of 14°C. On the 12th (Sun), you'll have the morning to explore before heading off to Bicheno.
