Snaking up the side of a rounded, tree-dotted hill, Hobart sits between Tasmania’s sprawling mountains and the vast estuary of the River Derwent.
Your day-by-day itinerary now includes Tasmanian Devil Unzoo as well as Port Arthur Historic Site. Shop till you drop at Salamanca Arts Centre and Nolan Art Gallery & School. Family-friendly places like Kingston Beach and Nutgrove Beach will thrill your kids. Step out of Hobart to go to Richmond and see Zoodoo Zoo, which is approximately 34 minutes away. Next up on the itinerary: admire the masterpieces at Museum of Old and New Art, view the masterpieces at Henry Jones Design Gallery, stop by The Wicked Cheese Co., and take in the awesome beauty at Mount Wellington.

Melbourne to Hobart is an approximately 4-hour flight. You can also do a combination of ferry and car; or do a combination of ferry and bus. While traveling from Melbourne, expect a bit cooler days and about the same nights in Hobart, ranging from highs of 26°C to lows of 14°C. You'll have a few hours on the 12th (Sun) to wrap things up before traveling to Bicheno.

Bicheno is a town on the east coast of Tasmania, Australia, 185 km north-east of Hobart on the Tasman Highway, with a population of 853. Start off your visit on the 12th (Sun): take in the exciting artwork at Kings Fine Art Gallery and then learn about winemaking at Gala Estate Vineyard. Keep things going the next day: look for all kinds of wild species at East Coast Natureworld, don't miss a visit to Bicheno Blowhole, and then get a dose of the wild on a nature and wildlife tour.
