Put on your best hiking boots and charge your camera batteries for a great outdoor adventure at Ben Nevis, Britain’s highest mountain. This impressive mountain towers 1,343 m (4,406 ft) above the town of Fort William, attracting over 200,000 climbers each year. Most visitors use the well-maintained Pony Track, which starts on the southern side of the mountain. Experienced mountaineers and ice climbers prefer the 700-m (2,300-ft) cliffs on the northern face of the mountain, which offer scrambles of all levels of difficulty. The summit features the ruins of an observatory building, which closed in 1904. The weather can change suddenly at various stages of the ascent, so it’s best to hire a local guide and carry appropriate equipment, food, and plenty of water. • Climb Ben Nevis don't roll over, but enjoy the scenery from downstairs, also worth right? I made a really nice walk in Glen Nevis. I found it kind of boring find large dogs loose there, walking with their tutors. The place is full of boards asking for the dogs move in Guide, to preserve the local animals. Also I was approached by a German Shepherd and I didn't think it was cool. Other than that, it was really cool! The place is beautiful!

  • Absolutely amazing! Some of the most beautiful scenery in all of Scotland. Please, please only go to Ben Nevis fully prepared for quickly changing weather conditions. While it may not be the tallest peak in the world, it has a mind of it's own and can be very challenging even for the most experienced mountaineers. Be safe and treat Nevis with respect.
  • Absolutely incredible. Reaching the peak was one of the most euphoric moments of my life. I would definitely recommend the climb to anyone with the ability
