Water Body · Nature / Park
River Ness flows from Loch Ness to the Beauly Firth, running through Inverness and Loch Dochfur. It is one of the most important waterways in Scotland, and along its shores are Inverness Castle, Inverness Museum and Art Gallery, Eden Court Theatre, and St. Andrew's Cathedral. The river flows through the center of Inverness and is traversed by many bridges that connect both sides of the city. You'll also find the Ness Islands where nature walks and fishing are popular activities with nearby facilities for sports and leisure. Take a short cruise down the river and peer into the water where you may see the Loch Ness Monster lurking in the shadows.
