  • The castle is now ruins, with only one complete wall. It gets your brain into gear thinking about how the castle would have looked like when it was lived in. You can still make out where the wooden beams would have been located when they held the ceiling and the fireplaces on the first floor. There is a floor plan which shows where rooms were located. You can climb on some of the ruins to get good photos. I would only recommend if you are in the area, as it hardly takes 15 minutes to look around. There is a supermarket across the road if you need to park.
  • Shows well what basic earthworks where around real castles also has named towers so you could visit the ruin of a real red tower if you wanted the park and play ground make a nice place wait for others to finish at the shop across the road nearby
