Create an itinerary including Mỹ Sơn
Listed as a World Heritage Site, Mỹ Sơn served as a burial place for the Cham royalty and a sacred site for Hindu ceremonies. Built between the 4th and 14th centuries in a blend of architectural styles, the cluster of partially ruined tower-temples remains one of the oldest archaeological sites in the region. Inspect many types of religious stone buildings on the site, such as a brick sanctuary, gate-tower, and a house sheltering valuables offered to the deities. Inside you can find many inscriptions in Sanskrit and old Cham, which portray the ancient rulers' need to receive affirmation from the divine. • Beautiful and unique location. Went early and our group was the only ones on the property for hours. Many structures still standing (after surviving the bombings), are crafted in a unique ways. They are trying their best to preserve and restore much of the complex, but much work still is to be done.
  • Such a interesting place Unfortunately empty in this time of COVID-19 but good place to see at least once 🙂
