Standing isolated on a hill, Charent's Arch offers some of the best views of Mount Ararat--the legendary mountain where Noah's ark landed after the flood. The arch was designed by a famous Armenian architect Raphael Israyelian and erected in 1957. See the words carved in Armenian alphabet--they're taken from a poem by Yeghisheh Charents, who described Ararat as "an impassable road to glory."     Visited this place on the way to Garni Pagan temple, it is an arch and a viewing platform to Mount Ararat. If you are lucky, you can see it. The deserts/vegetation you can see from above are also...

    Great view! But! Must make sure to arrive on a day with good visibility so to get the full affect of this amazing place.

    A beautiful Arch with great view of Ararat mountains and the surrounding areas. I didn't see this place while I was going to Garni Temple.But I visit this place on the way back. This place is amazing for taking photos and videos. Ararat Mountain can be seen so clear from this point, or sometimes you can't see so much of it. It depends on the weather that time. I recommend visiting this place in Spring or Summer time.
