Explore a lavishly decorated stairway-building and a museum of art hidden inside the walls at Cafesjian Center for the Arts. The 118 m (387 ft) tall landmark embodies the transition from the Soviet era to democracy: partially completed before the devastating earthquake and breakup of the USSR, the complex was finalized in 2002, marking the country's economic revitalization and opening of cultural borders. As you approach the monumental site, observe the designed fountains, courtyards, and sculptures located on terraces and platforms. The interior contains an intricate network of halls and corridors--all connected to the outdoors via series of escalators. When you reach the top of the stairway, enjoy a panoramic view of the city center and Mount Ararat. Utterly fantastic modern art display and sculpture. Truly amazing it’s free. Loved to wander around at my own pace. Not very crowded when I went.

I didn’t go in and just wandered around the museum. First impression is incredible as you walk through the gardens and see the cascade. There are famous artist that have artwork in the gardens. When you walk up the stairs to the top you also get a great view of Yerevan.
