At Friendly Beaches, stroll down the stretch of white soft sand soaking in the views of granite rock formations and turquoise water. This pristine beach can be accessed via a boardwalk that borders a coastal nature reserve, which is home to the Tasmanian devil, a threatened species and one of the island's few native mammals living in the heathlands.     Lovely day trip, it's a beautiful place. Don't bother going to camp though. Full mid week in March, sites bagged with tables and chairs, no booking system. Don't waste your time on the 4km drive over....  more

    Massive white sand beach. It goes for kilometres. Nice lookout just before you get to the beach. Worth just going for a stroll, taking in the fresh air and hearing the ocean.
