Taste some of Tasmania’s award-winning pinot noir at Gala Estate Vineyard, the second-oldest family-owned business on the island. Situated in a river valley on a sheep station, the vineyard occupies 11 ha (27 ac) of land and is run by the fifth, sixth, and seventh-generation descendants of James Amos, the first custodian of this land. Meet the welcoming family, admire the quirky 1820s cellar door, and taste the premium quality wines while nibbling on Tasmanian cheeses, olives, and fresh walnuts. • What a lovely rustic winery with a long history, delicious wine and super friendly staff! 😁 We thoroughly enjoyed our wine tasting with Arlette who was engaging, knowledgeable and genuinely interested in ensuring we had a great time in Tassie! We walked away with the entry level Pinot which had a lovely jammy smell and a really enjoyable and unique flavour! Highly recommend a visit!
  • Great little winery, gives out rusty vintage vibes 👌 We really enjoyed the Estate Chardonnay.
