Narryna Heritage Museum, Hobart

Very beautifully done with a mix of story and art behind glass as well as furnitured rooms that make you feel like you've gone back in time. To those of us used to European size museums, mansions, castles etc, it might feel quaint and a tad small scale. But that is exactly what early settlers life was like - making do with what little you have, in a time when Australia was still barely colonized. Makes you appreciate their efforts and resilience, as well as the immense wild and vastness of Australia then and now. Very enthusiastic and helpful staff.

Such a gem of a place! Felicity who greeted us at the entrance was very friendly and knowledgeable. She even played along with my little girl, pretending to have tea in the parlour. Well worth a look. Thanks!
