Create an itinerary including Alexandra Suspension Bridge
Experience the rugged beauty of Tasmania by taking a long stroll across Alexandra Suspension Bridge. Spanning over a river gorge, the bridge slightly sways as you move along, which may be unpleasant for travelers with the fear of height. Bring your camera to capture the views. Consider combining this walk with some of the other hikes along the riverside. You can also take a chair lift across the park, and then walk back using the suspension bridge. • A lovely old suspension bridge which sways a little in response to walkers. A great view and well worth the walk.

  • I think no one can miss this stunning place when visiting Launceston. This park is great for mini-bush walking. Surprisingly this park has a chairlift to bring you up across the basin. You can feel the power of nature when standing in the middle of the suspension bridge and look to the South Esk River. No long away from the suspension bridge, there are beautiful gardens and a cafe that you can even meet up local residents - peacocks walking around you. Of course it depends whether you are luck enough to meet them.
  • Fantastic place to hang around if you either just wanna chill, take a dip in the swimming pool or prefer natural water, or just prefer to sit in the stream on a nice sunny day…ample of short walks that you can do as well…well maintained toilets and shower rooms… Can get busy on holidays and weekends though…
