Create an itinerary including City Park
City Park is a heritage park containing the city's botanic gardens, radio museum, gallery of wood design and furniture, and an enclosed colony of macaque monkeys. The park's monorail operates on most days and is a popular tourist attraction, taking visitors around the area's most notable landmarks. The most prominent buildings at this location are Albert Hall, which was built in 1891; a convention center; and the studios of City Park Radio. The studios are located inside a cottage that once served as the park caretakers' home, and still boast one of the oldest wisteria wines in Australia, planted in 1837. • The museum was closed however the park was amazing. The snow monkey enclosure was a must see. We spent over an hour watching them. We walked all through the park and found lots to see.

  • This park is lovely. The lawns are always mowed and the trees are gorgeous. Many places to sit (whether it be benches or on the grass). Large flat paths making it accessible to everyone. Perfect for children as there's lots of space to run around and a playground. There are public toilets. The monkeys are also worth a visit. Probably my favourite place in Launceston and there's 3hr free parking surrounding the park.
  • Greenery, history, walkery, sit-ery... loverrly 😌
