  • A great place to pay your respects and see the sacrifices made by Australians to serve their nation. Provides amazing views of the CBD and wider Melbourne from on top of the shrine

  • Any tourist visiting Melbourne, whether international or domestic, will have a memorable experience. A beautiful view over this part of Melbourne is available from the roof of the Shrine, which is free to enter. Discover the real-life stories of Australians in wartime in Melbourne's iconic landmark. It was well presented and informative. Open daily 10am–5pm (last entry 4.30pm).
  • This is a sobering building documenting Victoria's participation in the numerous conflicts around the world, and serves as a reminder of the horrors of war. A place deserving of respect and built to reflect this, it was quite an unforgettable experience as you venture through the galleries, gradually making your way up to the balcony. If you're a history buff, this is a must visit place, though it may not be entirely suitable for children. There's also a balcony at the top offering a scenic view of the city and the gardens nearby. Entrance to the place is free, but visitors are free to make a donation as they deem suitable.
