Visit Marakoopa Cave to see the largest display of glowworms found in Australia. This wet cave, with four surface openings, is part of the Tasman Wilderness World Heritage Site, declared in 1996 in order to protect an extensive system of over 300 caverns and sinkholes featuring rare karst landforms. In addition to these unusual geological formations, at this cave you can also see two underground streams, rim pools, shawls, and flowstone features. Take a guided tour to explore a natural world teeming with underground creatures, which have evolved some very strange features in order to survive in their dark surroundings. Adventurers can also hike through the lush forests of the national park surrounding this cave. The tour was amazing. The hour passed way too quickly and could've easily gone around for another hour. Our tour guide was awesome and allowed everyone to take their time taking photos (where we were allowed). Not too many glow worms about due to it being winter, but still special to see them. The caves stay a mild 9 degrees C so dress accordingly. Suitable for kids too, but make sure they keep their hands to themselves. Book ahead as numbers are very limited per tour and you don't want to be disappointed.

Fantastic, wonderful experience for my first cave! We had such a friendly, knowledgeable, engaging tour guide. There's some incredible underground rivers, glow worms, huge caverns and pitch black experiences you'll have in the grand cathedral tour. Would love to come back for King Solomon's next time when we have more time!
