Amazing experience learning about the steel making in Newcastle. Wonderful sea monsters exhibition with great models and displays. Lots of displays about the history of Newcastle. No cafe on site but.... more

Fun little "free" place to spend an hour or two. You can obviously go through in a hurry in about 20 minutes, but I suggest, take your time, read the plaques, learn from history and enjoy the 9 minute BHP light and sound show. There are other displays that come through that you can pay for, but the free experience is really good value for money. 😜

It was such a fantastic day out with the family. The Alice in wonderland exhibit was good, but I especially loved the Newcastle history part.
