  • This is a sister site to the Port Arthur site - it is managed by them but it is free. Well worth the drive and take the time to walk around the site - you can see the old mine shaft, the air shaft...

  • We have been there before - usually with plenty of people about. This time we arrived quite late in the day and the last of the tourists were in the car park, about to leave. it had been cloudy all...

  • Well worth the visit if you're interested in convict history and ruins. The view to the coast is also spectacular. The solitary cells here are still intact and quite spooky. Watch your head when you enter and exit, mischievous spirits may just give you a push! Lots of walks you can do in the area which are longer.
  • Only went to the main settlement as the weather wasn't great for the longer walks to the other sites but can say its certainly worth visiting. Free entry and almost as nice as Port Arthur without the crowds!
