Visited this little town on the way to Melk Abbey. Very quiet and sleepy during winter but it was nice to take a stroll around town and admire the architecture there.

Really cozy town with nice monastery situated high. Lots of lovely restaurants and cafes. We enjoyed a beer on the square while an orchestra in beautiful costumes played good music.

The super friendly sommelier / owner helped us pick 6 excellent and most highly recommended wines from the Wachau Valley. I highly recommend this wine shop if visiting!
