  • Beautiful welcome statue to start the Nessebar tour
  • Beautiful statue and beautifully integrated into the landscape. Even the pathway to it has harmonious lines. Usually filled with birds sitting on it. To quote from a website: The statue standing at the harbor of South Nessebar Bay, is frequently and popularly identified as St. Nicolas, patron saint of sailors. However, the artist Stavri Kalinov sees it as a new "Noah" holding a dove, looking for a new land. As E. A. Bucchianeri said, "Art is in the eye of the beholder, and everyone will have their own interpretation." And another website says: According to its author, the sculpture represents “the new Noah in search of the Promised Land, and perhaps the dove has found salvation in this blessed Nessebar coast.”
