St Stephens Church, Nessebar

Walk through centuries of artistic and religious history at St Stephens Church, a World Heritage Site on the coast of the Black Sea. The eastern (and oldest) part of the small three-nave basilica dates from the 11th century, while murals of over 1,000 New Testament figures were added in the 16th and 18th centuries. Later, organizations and the government renovated the church in order to preserve its iconography, carved bishop's throne, and a pulpit.
