At Sea Organ (Morske Orgulje), see the world's first musical pipe organs played by the sea. Descend the white marble steps leading to the water and enjoy the never-ending concert. Waves and wind interact with 35 tubes tuned to create random, harmonic sounds. In 2005 Nikola Basic designed the organ, which recently received the European Prize for Urban Public Space. From here gaze at a stunning sunset on the ocean. Alfred Hitchcock once visited and did the same. This was high on our list; i wouldn't make it a destination alone, but staying in old Zadar it is easy to get to and part of the 1-2punch with the Greeting to the Sun. You can hear the droning...

Free of charge experience with a stunning sunset. You don't need to buy a ticket to experience the Sea Organ. The kids often swim in the area, which is so nice. The sound experience is excellent and highly recommended. The best time to arrive during summer is maximum at 20:15, so you can enjoy the sunset finishing at 20:30.

Beautiful area that you must go and see both during the day (when it’s fairly quiet) and at night when the sun is setting. The sea organ itself was installed in 2005 on the edges of the promenade and the music is created by the waves hitting it. So lovely to listen to the chords created by nature. Such a cool concept and such a peaceful beautiful area. When we visited in late June the water was calm so the sounds were gentle and it is lovely to sit on the edge of the promenade and just listen to the sounds. Would love to hear the louder notes when the waves are bigger. The views at night especially on a clear night of the sun setting are spectacular and great for photos. Lots of passing boats make your photos more interesting. This area is so nice we walked out of our way every day we stayed to visit here.
